Industrial Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to play a key role in the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery. As an integral part of our team, you will contribute to the efficient operation of our plastics recycling processes, ensuring the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
3. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, such as motors, belts, bearings, sensors
4. Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and maximize machinery uptime
5. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory
6. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or recycling setting
2. Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
3. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
5. Strong communication and teamwork abilities
6. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training or certification in industrial mechanics is a plus
• Minimum 3-years experience as a mechanic (or equipment maintenance) at an industrial or commercial company
